We have just said goodbye to 2011, I thought I would post some of my favourite snaps of the year, all taken with my compact digital camera, soon I will be in possession of an all singing, all dancing brand new, shiny, digital SLR, I am hoping my photography will improve, especially my interior shots, I may even really push the boat out and take some photos of people!
Bliss. Peace, quiet and a newspaper, Biarritz, early April
No, not spring lambs, I snapped these bow legged Pyrenean cuties in mid November
Our neighbours house, I have always coveted the daisies growing out of the wall.
My, what big eyes you have!
No collection of pictures would be complete without His Nibbs
Wow, beautiful pictures, and I adore the one with the hats. Aw, so many beautiful hats:D
ReplyDeleteOh Dash! You have taken so many amazing photos. I'm enjoying these all, again, and so many more that I remember. You have just proved my belief that so much about any photograph, is more about the person behind the camera, than the camera.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful New Year, full of beauty and joy.
Some gorgeous shots, my dear! enjoy the new toy, but beware, they are addicting. You have a terrific eye, so it will be great to see what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sharon...the person behind the camera is the key.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful eye!

Oh my goodness, such happiness here! I can only imagine what you will do with an SLR. I am not quite ready to make that leap and so was given something just below that will let me dip my toes into the water.
ReplyDeleteI know that you are far braver than I and look forward to what the New Year brings!
Bisous,
Heather
Drat! Dash. If your photos get any better we will have to smack you! Love the red umbrella ... and all the rest!
ReplyDeleteFancy camera or no, these are a wonderful collection which completely capture a mood and an area. That hat stall in the market definitely has my name written all over it - I would love to check out their lovely wares!

Mmmmmm... red umbrellas in the snow, gorgeous vistas, doggies in chairs, and roses, roses, roses. Delicious!
ReplyDeleteDash...you have such a great eye, I love what you have shown us here. I am dying to know what type of camera you are getting. It will open a whole new world to you...beware and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your movie recco for Vietnam. I have it and now can't wait to see it. You are so right, it is nice to discover ones that do not revolve around war and misery.

You are lucky!
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful locations.
But I have to admit, as soon as I saw the photo of the market stall with all the straw hats I wanted to buy each and every colour!
Where is this fabulous place?
I am just sighing with envy right now. Frankly, if I'd taken that photo of the silhouetted castle at sunset, I might think I was done forever. What could be more beautiful?
