Summers End

Hello I am back with a post about the end of Summer and the start of Autumn, for me it happens a bit later as I take my holiday in September so my Autumn starts in October, only now can I think of warm cosy scenery, log fires, making soups, cashmere, boots and visiting the cities I love in the run up to Christmas but for now I leave you with some photographs I shot of Provence and the Italian Riviera in mid September....

Harley Davidson meet South of France!

"What do you mean no towel!  I didn't know it was that cold, I wouldn't have jumped in if I had known you had not thought of bringing a towel for my rub down!"

Sadly getting off the coast road and onto the auto-route... although still quite spectacular not to mention an amazing feat of engineering look at the auto-route bridge leading to the tunnel which links France and Italy.

  1. Hello Dash

One hundred thousand welcomes and welcome back.
Your summer must have been so exciting. The images are just spectacular.

I love the image of your dog shivering. So cool.

    1. Thank you Helen it's good to be back! Unfortunately I missed Crusoe jumping into the water as he chose to jump in whilst I was visiting the powder room, as the water fountain is permanently in shade the water was very cold, I don't think Crusoe had bargained for that...no wonder he was shivering. 1. Thank you Marsha, the new header took me ages as there are so many images and photographs I have collected that I love, it made it very difficult to choose, I have a feeling they may change from time to time. X

    1. Thanks Ali, the new look is still a work in progress, the background was supposed to be cream but has turned out sort of a pale apricot, I am still working on it. X

    1. Thank you Webb, Crusoe did want a huge, fluffy towel hug but as we did not have a fluffy towel he was a smelly, wet dog for an hour or two, I think he has finally forgiven me now, made a note to always have a large, fluffy towel in the car at all times just in case. X

  11. Ah, there you are! It seems that you had a good summer. Is that the Fréjus tunnel?

I like the new styling, very chic.

    1. Thank you Toffeeapple, I had a busy but excellent Summer, I was so busy looking at the scenery that I did not pay attention to the name of the tunnel but it's the tunnel that links Italy and France on the Auto-Route so I guess it is the Fréjus tunnel. X
