Yay, we are off on holiday on Sunday for ten days, to stay with Belle Mere on The Cote d'Azur, I am currently scrambling about trying to get organised, hope I can get everything done in time.  All the crowds will have gone, the weather should  be beautiful and the sea will be warm.  We have got some nice things lined up to do,  taking the lap top and the camera, so I will be able to keep you posted.

I adore those Lartigue shots - esp those of Renee (love those bangles!)

Have wonderful holiday - remember, drink loads of alcohol to make sure that you do not come down with Mexican Bum again. Medicinal :-

  4. Beautiful photos, so exquisitely French.
I love the photo of Bardot. That dress looks like it could have been in this season's Louis Vuitton collection by Marc Jacobs. Now we know where he got his inspiration.

  7. Bons vacances!

Don't run into the Russian mafia if you can help it (see Telegraph article on how the Russians have got fingers in every criminal pie on the Cote d'Azur, including going into holiday homes, gassing the inhabitants and stealing the goods!!!)

  13. As always, an exquisite post...imagine how slim Jane Birkin looks. What size was she? Waist 22? I love her in the film, La belle noiseuse.

  18. Hello, I've stumbled upon your blog while searching for info about a specific Lartigue image, which I've found here. Can you please help me with the title of the seascape, with the palm fronds and the boat at sea? It's haunted me for a while now and I simply can't recall the name. Many thanks!
