Inspiring Images

I have literally collected thousands of images, some which I have specifically been after and some which I have stumbled across by accident, usually while looking for something else, I have just been going through them and trying to file them into some sort of order.  The following images are just the tip of the iceberg, there is no theme, they are random, I love them and find them inspiring.

  1. Dash, these are all such wonderful images. The photo by Louise Dahl-Wolf is particularly fresh, even though it was taken in 1938. I love all the details.

  3. These are amazing Dash!! I have just started thinking along the same lines and have realised it is not an easy task. I think showing them the way you have is the best way to look at them.

    Thank you!!

Best wishes for a wonderful weekend D.

  7. They are all very beautiful but I am mesmerised by the Venice scene. And I take my hat off to you for collecting and curating such a treasure trove :)

  8. I stumbled upon your blog a few weeks ago and have very much enjoyed being transported to France each time I read. Of course, it only fuels my overwhelming desire to return. It's a lovely treat during the dreary winter months here in the states! I especially loved this post! The Audrey Hepburn photos and Brigitte Bardo were of my favorites! Thank you for sharing.

  10. Gorgeous pictures. I love the Marianne Faithfull one, I'd never seen it before.

Thanks so much for your Catalonian recommendations - we shall definitely check them out.

Re the words your grandfather disliked - I am in total agreement with him, I must also add settee and toilet.

And here's the post with the sequin knickers

  12. Dear Dash

Your blog is a visual delight. I like the fact that you don't write about just one thing. Fantastic. Carry on writing...
